Reusch World Keeper Goalkeeper Gloves
Full product specification in the words of Reusch, below
The revival of the World Keeper model, first released in 2002
Conditions: Dry / Damp, Soft Ground.
The material used on the palm of the gloves is most suitable for playing on soft ground (i.e. grass and mud, rather than concrete or traditional astro turft).
It is also most suitable for good weather, or normal rainy days. For really badly rainy weather, a specialist wet weather palm might perform better.
Strap: Wrist bandage – wider full strap with textile
Reusch are famous for the amazingly high level of detail they include in all their products. The goalkeeper gloves wrist strap is a great example of this. The standard Reusch strap on the Magno range features a special area designed to leave room for printing your name on, as well as a really nice feature at the end of the strap which allows you to take the gloves off easily (which as all goalkeepers know – is not easy!)
‘ShockShield Advanced’
‘Shockshield Advanced’ is the ‘new and improved’ version of Reusch Shockshield. It gives “30% more protection and control”, compared to the standard Shockshield, according to Reusch. (How did they measure that number anyway?)
Reusch’s ‘Shockshield’ has been around for a while, and has become a really popular and pretty standard feature of a lot of the Reusch range. Shockshield is the name of the materials in the backhand of the gloves designed to improve performance when punching the ball.
The Shockshield feature aims to give:
- Better control when punching – so you can punch the ball where you actually want!
- More protection and cushioning when punching
It’s up to you to believe the 30% claim or not. But whatever you believe about that, the power of the Shockshield padding seems to be proved in the eyes of many Reusch goalkeepers and fans.
‘M1 Mega Grip’
The Reusch M1 Mega Grip foam is one of Reusch’s top quality professional goalkeeper glove foams.
For a pro quality latex, it’s versatile – good cushioning, decent abrasion resistance, and fantastic grip in normal conditions.
The M1 foam is a specially designed mix of 80% natural latex and 20% synthetic latex, put together for best performance.
Reusch M1 foam is used on a range of Reusch’s top of the range gloves.
Rolled bowl cut ESS™
The anatomically pre-shaped and spread finger construction is improved by using a rolled latex construction on the outside and on the thumb. The cut offers optimal support of the natural catching position of the hand and maximizes the catching area of the glove.
Pull loop™ A special feature application at the cuff greatly increases the ease of getting the gloves on: pull the loop, slide, and off you go.
Ergonomic palm embossing
The hand serves as the Reusch model: palm embossing which take their inspiration from the natural lines of the palm support the hand’s natural grasping movement, thus providing superb flexibility and maximum ball control with unaltered grip qualities.
Flex cuts on backhand
More flexibility at crucial points. Ergonomic cuts and elastic materials at the thumb joint give added flexibility, improved wearing comfort and better ventilation.
